Microsoft have released SQL2005 SP3 (9.00.4035.00) and we are currently testing this release for compatibility with SalesLogix. More information will be posted here as soon as it is available.

Issue with 'ExportGridToExcel' function

We have noticed that this function is no longer working correctly in 7.2 Service Pack 2. The issue manifests itself by exporting just one column heading (and not the expected x cols, y rows). The issue can be resolved by applying Hot-Fix 2 available from the FTP site.

Issue with Grids / Long load times

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 ("Longhorn") & "x64" Platforms

Whilst not certified by Sage at this time, we do have customers running on this platform. Notably, the installation worked fine and the performance on Windows 2008 appears to be stunning! The server utilised is running Windows Server 2008 Enterprise x64 Edition with 16Gb of RAM (it's also a Terminal Server). On logout there was an issue with SLXProfiling.dll - but that was resolved by applying SalesLogix 7.2 Service Pack 2. You can find more information in the Compatibility Checklist.

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 ("Katmai")

[CTP February 2008]

We have tried this version internally, for testing purposes only. Currently, this is not supported and there are several issues with attempting to
run SalesLogix on this platform notably: -

• The installer will fail to install the evaluation databases correctly
• The SQL Native Client has been renamed to "SQL Native Client 10.0" and, currently, cannot be setup as a valid connection
  within the SalesLogix Connection Manager.
• Using the SQL OLEDBProvider is not recommended, due to speed issues - see this image for more information on connection details

Update: October 2008 - this is now supported for SalesLogix 7.5. All the issues shown above have been resolved.

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 ("Longhorn")

We have installed this in a test environment, without SalesLogix. As this is based on the Vista code-base we fully expect it to be supported by SalesLogix v7.2 and 7.02 but will require certification and testing by Sage.
 We will update this page as more information becomes available.
